Feyenoord midfielder dissatisfied with life in Dubai

Karim El Ahmadi is keen to return to Europe next season, insisting the level of competition at Al Ahli is 'too low'. The Morocco midfielder spent the final half of last term on loan at the Dubai-based club from Feyenoord, where he is contracted until 2013. But the 26-year-old, who will link up with the Rotterdammers for pre-season training later this month, wants to ply his trade in Europe next season, whether it be with Feyenoord or at another club. "Al Ahli is a great club and I had some nice months," El Ahmadi told AD. "But the level of competition is just too low.

Weakest teams

"It is similar to the weakest teams in the Dutch league. "The club wanted me to stay, but I do not see it. I want to play football in Europe again." He added: "My contract at Feyenoord runs until mid-2013. "If no other club comes for me to take over, then I simply start to the season in Rotterdam."
