Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido has claimed the club have received a €1.5million (£1.3m) offer from an English side for Mouhamadou Dabo.

The 24-year-old full-back joined Sevilla from St Etienne on a free transfer last summer, but his future already appears to lie elsewhere.

Reports in Spain suggest the alleged offer is from Aston Villa, but the Midlands side have yet to comment on the claim.

Del Nido said: "An English club have offered €1.5million with a further €500,000 (£442,000) dependent on player performance.

"We have not made a decision yet."
