The USA international moved to Villa Park at the end of January on a loan deal from Borussia Monchengladbach, but has made just three appearances for the club since his arrival.

Despite playing a big role in the national team's march to the last 16 of the World Cup last summer, Bradley has failed to impress since moving to the Premier League and is set to return to the Bundesliga in the summer.

Roma, who have just been taken over by an American consortium, are reported to be interested, with star midfielder Daniele De Rossi being linked with a move away from the Stadio Olympico.

Bradley's agent Alberto Faccini feels the link may only be down to the club's new owners, but claimed he would welcome an approach should one be made.

Not much truth

"There is not much truth to these rumours and I think this approach is linked to the fact that the new owners are American," Faccini told tuttomercatoweb.

"Of course he is an interesting player, who has been around for years on the European circuit.

"I have not spoken with (Roma's new sporting director, Walter) Sabatini.

"He's a midfielder who can occupy almost all roles. I consider him similar to De Rossi with the proper proportions.

"The move to Aston Villa has not been the right choice because he is often on the bench, but he's a young boy with many appearances in the national team.

"Bradley to Roma would be a nice idea, I think he could do well in the Italian championship."
