Nottingham Forest have signed Aston Villa midfielder Isaiah Osbourne on loan.
Osbourne is well down the pecking order at Villa Park and Martin O'Neill is willing to loan him out.
Leicester were also thought to be keen on signing Osbourne, but Forest have won the race for the 21-year-old.
Osbourne is Billy Davies' first signing at the City Ground following his arrival in December.
"I am delighted to have signed the player, we are very thankful that Martin O'Neill and Aston Villa have allowed us to have him until the end of the season," said Davies.
"He will add some valuable competition in the centre of midfield."
Osbourne is expected to go straight into the Forest squad for Tuesday's game with Preston.
