Daniel van Buyten is set to disappoint a host of Premier League clubs by staying at Bayern Munich.
The Belgian international was thought to be a target for a host of clubs in the summer after struggling to earn a regular place in the Bayern side this season.
Aston Villa, Everton and Newcastle are all reported to be keeping tabs on Van Buyten, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Manchester City in 2004.
Van Buyten's agent Christophe Henrotay says the impending arrival of Jurgen Klinsmann as Bayern's new coach has persuaded him to stay in Bavaria.
Speculation"I have not heard anything about new interest apart from what I have seen in the press," Henrotay told skysyports.com.
"Bayern are changing coach next season, with Jurgen Klinsmann coming in and Daniel is keen to see how things go under him.
"He is feeling fine at Bayern and he is happy in Germany
"He is pleased that clubs are interested in him, but he wants to see how things develop at Bayern under Klinsmann.
"He wants to stay and fight for his place under the new regime."
