Thomas Sorensen has confirmed his intention to quit Aston Villa in search of first-team football.
The Denmark international is yet to kick a ball for the club this term following the loan capture of Scott Carson and Martin O'Neill's decision to name Stuart Taylor as his back-up.
Sorensen, 31, is not happy seeing out the season on the bench and also wants to quit the Villa Park outfit to retain his place in his country's international set-up.
"I want to leave, because I want to play," he told BT.
"It's partly because I want to keep my place in the national team, but also because I want to play regularly.
"I am not close to the end of my career. I am at my best for a keeper."
Derby County been linked with a move for the out-of-favour shot-stopper.
