West Brom defender Paul McShane has played down talk linking him with a move to Aston Villa.
Reports last week suggested Martin O'Neill was considering a move for the rugged central defender after watching him in action for the Republic of Ireland.
McShane has impressed for club and country this season with a number of eye-catching performances.
The 21-year-old insists he is not paying any attention to the speculation and is concentrating on helping West Brom try to win promotion to the Premiership.
"I wouldn't say it's been a brilliant season. I feel I can still improve and play better," McShane told the Birmingham Mail.
"It's good to be linked to the Premiership - I want to play in the Premiership with West Brom.
"What's been reported has just been talk and I don't really let it bother me and keep on playing the way I'm playing at the moment.
"I'm just keeping my eye on the goal, which is promotion."
