Thomas Sorensen expects Aston Villa to bounce back to form against Tottenham Hotspur.

Villa were left reeling on Monday night when they were crushed 4-0 by Premiership new boys West Ham United at Upton Park.

The heavy defeat could see Sorensen lose his place in the team to Stuart Taylor for Saturday's clash with Spurs, live on PremPlus.

But irrespective of whether he is picked for the match, the Danish goalkeeper predicts a better showing from Villa in front of their own fans.

"We know that this game is important and it has become even more important after what happened against West Ham," said Sorensen.

"We just want to wipe away the memory of what happened at West Ham as soon as we can and that means going out and beating Spurs.

"We need to bounce back straight away and perform a lot better than we did on Monday.

"The game with Spurs really can't come around quick enough.

"I am confident that we can regain our form but it will take a very different kind of effort to what we saw against West Ham."
