Aston Villa's Stephen Cooke is in talks with Bournemouth about a permanent move.Aston Villa midfielder Stephen Cooke is in talks with Bournemouth about a permanent switch to Dean Court.
Cooke has previously enjoyed two loan spells at Bournemouth and having failed to break into David O'Leary's first team plans is now looking to quit Villa Park.
Cherries boss Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed that the club are in discussions with the player and that thus far, a positive outcome looks likely.
''Stephen is someone we've had come here before and he's done very well with us.,'' O'Driscoll told the club's official website.
''He's a skillful player, well liked by the fans and is the type of player we would be interested in having here.
"A number of other clubs have also expressed an interest so hopefully we can put something together in the near future.
''He'd be a successful addition to our squad."
Meanwhile, Swindon midfielder Brian Howard has confirmed that he too would like to pen a deal at Bournemouth.
"I said I quite fancy Bournemouth if I can get down there because they are a good footballing side and living down south would be perfect for me," Howard told the Bournemouth Echo.
''I'm not a big money man but I've have been offered a very good contract at another club and if Bournemouth could get close to it then I would definitely want to play for them."
