ASTON VILLA are interested in bringing young striker Lee Miller to the Premiership club from Scottish First Division side Falkirk.

However, the 19-year-old Miller and his Bairns team-mate Mark Kerr have both been given an invitation for a trial at Division One club Nottingham Forest next month.

Villa scout Andy Ritchie watched the Brockville Park club's top-scorer play against Inverness Caledonian Thistle on Saturday and Graham Taylor's side hope to sign Miller before Forest reach a deal with him.

A Villa spokesman told the Daily Record: "We hope to reach agreement with the club and player before he has the chance to go to Forest."

Meanwhile, Falkirk's board of directors are set to meet on Tuesday to discuss the future of manager Alex Totten, after a dismal season that sees The Bairns facing relegation to the Scottish Second Division.
