Jordan Slew admits he has been frustrated by his lack of chances at Blackburn.

The 21-year-old striker is yet to make a first-team start for Rovers since arriving in 2011 amid much hype following his progress with Sheffield United's youth teams.

Loan spells at Stevenage, Oldham, Rotherham and Notts County all followed before he was reunited with former Blades boss Micky Adams at Port Vale on his latest temporary stint last week.

"It's been frustrating," Slew said of a career which has failed to blossom as many predicted it would.

"My chances at Blackburn have been limited but I've just got to move on now. The past is the past and I just want to kick on here and restart my career.

"There's a big difference between reserve and first-team football. I'm a first-team player and I'm happy to be back in the mix again.

"It's important for me as a young lad to get game time. That's what I've come here to do and I just want to enjoy myself too."
