Gary Bowyer has admitted he would like to sign another forward who gives Blackburn Rovers a more direct option up front.
Bowyer will have four strikers at his disposal by the end of the month once Jordan Rhodes and Ruben Rochina return to fitness, and DJ Campbell comes back from a ban, with Leon Best also in the squad.
He is happy with those players but is keen to bolster his attacking ranks even further before the loan window closes and has been strongly linked with Middlesbrough's Lukas Jutkiewicz.
"If you look at our strike force we've got all different types of strikers available to us bar a big man who can throw himself about," Bowyer said in the Lancashire Telegraph.
"We feel if it's something we can add it would make us better because you're not always going to be able to go through teams or go around teams.
"Sometimes you're going to have to go over teams and at the moment we're lacking that a little bit.
"There are teams in our division who have the option to do that. We feel we haven't and it's something we'd like to address.
"At the moment there seems to be one or two that are available at the right price so we are working very hard to get that done."
