Blackburn have rejected a £6million offer from Championship rivals Wigan for Jordan Rhodes, Sky Sports understands.
Wigan are looking to bolster their options ahead of the close of the transfer window and have made the offer to Rovers.
However, it is understood that the Ewood Park side have turned down Wigan's approach, with the sum tabled less than Blackburn paid for the player 12 months ago.
Blackburn spent £8million on Rhodes to sign him from Huddersfield last year, and he enjoyed a very good debut campaign with Rovers, claiming 28 goals.
It is expected that Wigan will return with a new offer before the deadline on Monday evening, but Rovers do not appear to be willing to do business.
