Sky Sports understands Blackburn starlet Raheem Hanley has agreed a new one-year pro deal at Ewood Park.

Hanley's previous deal expired earlier this summer, but the exciting midfielder has now signed on for a further 12 months.

It was feared Rovers might lose the 18-year-old on a free transfer this summer with a number of clubs monitoring his situation after he impressed during Rovers' march to the final of the FA Youth Cup last season.

Hanley, who joined Blackburn from Manchester United in the summer of 2010, is highly regarded at Ewood Park and has been tipped to break into the first-team reckoning.
