Defender - Six games to save the season

Blackburn Rovers face six 'World Cup finals' as they bid to survive in the Premier League, according to defender, Scott Dann. The 25-year-old believes Rovers must win their three remaining home games, starting with Liverpool at Ewood Park on Tuesday night. A result would end the Lancashire side's recent run of three consecutive defeats, and lift them three points clear of the drop zone. Dann said: "Every game between now and the end of the season is a World Cup final for us, and we've got to put in some big performances and get some points. "I think we've got to be looking to win all our home games, and maybe get a few points away to get out of the position we are in as quickly as possible."

But Dann knows that they face a tough task against Kenny Dalglish's men. "Liverpool have not had the best results, and people will say it is a better time to play them, but they are a top team and they will be wanting to put their performances right as well, so it's going to be a really tough game. "We've got to make sure we are all ready to produce the goods," Dann added "Relegation battles always go to the wire, and with the lads we've got in the dressing room, we know we are capable of getting ourselves out of it. "We just need to work hard together and try and get ourselves out of it as quickly as possible so we are not going into the last couple of games needing big results."
