Striker happy at Peterborough and could sign extension

Paul Taylor has indicated that he could be set to sign a contract extension to remain at Peterborough on a long-term basis. The striker has reportedly attracted the attention of several Championship rivals after a string of impressive performances for Posh this season. His current deal does not expire until the summer of 2013 and he has previously insisted he is in no rush to sort out his future as his focus remains on playing as well as he can. But Taylor has now hinted that fresh terms could soon be agreed with Peterborough after expressing his happiness with life at London Road.

Good bunch

"I want to play where I'm happy," the 24-year-old told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. "And this is a great club to play for. The players are a good bunch who all get on well together. "I get up in the morning and look forward to coming to work. That's important to me. "I'm not thinking too much about signing the new contract because I want to concentrate on playing and trying to score some more goals. "I've always said I'll think about it again in the summer, but maybe I'll decide sooner than that. I've enjoyed the season as it's gone far better than I dared expect."
