Blackburn boss Steve Kean says defender Scott Dann could return from injury ahead of schedule against Everton later this month.
The Rovers defender suffered a groin injury at home to West Brom in mid-December and was originally ruled out for at least six weeks.
But manager Kean says Dann could be back in action for Rovers when they travel to Goodison Park on Saturday week.
"Scott has made great progress," he told the club's official website.
"It was originally thought that he would be sidelined for at least six weeks, but he is back training inside a month and very close to returning to match action, which is obviously great news."
Rovers host Fulham at Ewood Park this weekend but that clash is expected to come too soon for the stopper.
