French ace may be sold to raise funds

Skysports.com understands that Steven N'Zonzi could head a number of high-profile departures from Blackburn Rovers in January. Rovers boss Steve Kean revealed earlier this week that he had held talks with the club's owners about his January transfer plans. Kean insisted he was looking at the incomings, but it is believed Rovers will need to sell in order to finance some of their planned arrivals. The likes of Chris Samba and Junior Hoillett have been linked with moves in the New Year, but skysports.com understands that N'Zonzi is also on the agenda of a host of clubs. The former France Under-21 international arrived at Rovers in 2009 from Amiens and has made a big impact in the Premier League. The 23-year-old was rewarded with a new five-year deal in August last year, but Rovers need cash and N'Zonzi could help raise around £7million.

Formica

Another name who could head for the exit doors is Mauro Formica, with the Argentine ace unsettled following his move to Ewood Park. "I want to be with my daughter Rosario, I miss her very much. For me it's time to go home," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror. Reports suggest that Formica could be heading for Inependiente, back in Argentina.
