Steve Kean believes Blackburn Rovers will be signing an 'exciting player' once Simon Vukcevic completes his move to Ewood Park.
Blackburn confirmed last week that Vukcevic was undergoing a medical ahead of joining the Premier League club from Sporting Lisbon.
Vukcevic is understood to be costing £2million and Kean is looking forward to having the 25-year-old Montenegro international in his squad.
"He is an exciting player," Kean told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"He can play wide left or wide right. He has good technical ability and is a very focused guy.
"He is very serious about his football, and I think he will give us a totally different dimension."
The Blackburn boss is anxious to improve his squad before the transfer window closes and is also lining up a deal for FC Dallas defender George John.
Hoffenheim striker Vedad Ibisevic, experienced midfielder Jimmy Bullard and Manchester United's Darren Gibson have also been linked with moves to Blackburn.
