Sky Sports sources understand Blackburn have completed the signing of Dundee United striker David Goodwillie.

Rovers saw a bid accepted by United earlier in the week for the Scotland international.

It was then reported that the highly-rated 22-year-old was at Blackburn for a medical on Tuesday.

A proposed move to Ewood Park was cast into doubt when Rangers lodged a rival offer, with the SPL giants long-standing admirers of the forward.

It is, however, understood that Blackburn have got their man.

Reports suggest that the Premier League outfit are to part with £2million up front, with £800,000 worth of add-ons and a sell-on clause included in the deal.
