Dutch club still working on Petrovic deal

Vitesse have completed the signing of young forward Renato Ibarra from Ecuadorian side El Nacional. The 21-year-old underwent a successful medical at the Eredivisie side on Saturday before putting pen to paper on a three-year deal. Ibarra, capped once for the senior Ecuador national team, will miss the start of the new season because of international duties at the Under-20s World Cup in Colombia. Meanwhile, Vitesse are still working on a deal to bring Radosav Petrovic to the club from Partizan Belgrade. The midfielder has also passed a medical but the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement over the player. Serie A side Roma are also thought to be interested and Vitesse technical director Ted van Leeuwen admits the club could face a tough task in completing a deal for the 22-year-old Serbia international. He told Omroep Gelderland: "We have showed (him) our plans, the stadium and our ambition. "It is really a fight to get such a player. And we are setting our standards high, where Vitesse is a small club."
