Blackpool defender still confident of beating the drop

Alex Baptiste has insisted that Blackpool are not afraid of anyone as they prepare for crucial games against Bolton and Manchester United. The Seasiders have slipped into the relegation zone and need a strong finish to the season if they are to beat the drop and complete a successful campaign. Baptiste believes Blackpool are capable of picking up a result at Old Trafford on the final day, with United expected to clinch the Premier League title away to Blackburn this weekend. But Baptiste recognises that the immediate priority is to defeat Bolton on Saturday and he is confident about their chances. The defender has been encouraged by recent displays, particularly the battling 1-1 draw with Tottenham last time out.

Breaks

"Who says we can't go to Manchester United and get something there?" he told the club's official website. "We don't fear anyone, and that was highlighted with our performance against Tottenham. "You can see over the last two weeks how well we've done. "We just haven't got the breaks we've deserved, but hopefully we'll do what we need to do. "We know how big the Bolton game is and it is a must-win."
