Oldham Athletic have bolstered their options on transfer deadline day with the addition of Blackburn Rovers youngster Jason Lowe.
The 19-year-old midfielder has joined on a youth loan and he will be hoping to feature as much as possible in the club's last eight League One matches.
Lowe is seen as one for the future at Blackburn and the England Under-20 international signed a fresh two-and-a-half-year contract at Ewood Park earlier this month.
When asked if the teenager would like to experience League One football he jumped at the chance of garnering some more first-team action.
"They told me they would try to find me a club and, when Oldham came in for me, it was a no brainer," he told the club's official website.
"I have learned a lot at Blackburn, but need to put that into match situations which is the reason why I am here to gain experience of playing first-team football.
"I enjoyed my first training session and they seem a good set of lads. I am looking forward to the challenge and helping the boys return to winning."
Latics boss Paul Dickov is a big fan of the youngster and believes his all-action style of play will provide a big boost to his troops.
"I am excited to have signed Jason who is one of the future, a player who I have tried to bring in a few times before," said Dickov.
"He is a player of the fringe of the Blackburn first team and it shows how highly they rate him that he played for them against Chelsea.
"Jason is a box-to-box midfield player who is good on the ball and not afraid to put his foot in."
