Energie Cottbus striker Nils Petersen has admitted he is relishing being watched by Premier League scouts.
Blackburn are reportedly interested in the 21-year-old target man, who scored 10 goals in 13 league starts for the second division German outfit last season.
And the Germany Under 21 international, who is under contract until June 2012, has carried that form into the new season, scoring eight in nine games so far.
Although Petersen is using the overseas interest as inspiration, he is committed to helping Energie battle for promotion to the top flight this term.
"It's an honour to see a top club from a foreign country interested in you. It is really great," he told Lausitzer Rundschau newspaper.
"But at the moment I am not thinking about it that much.
"It is just giving me more motivation to go on with my campaign and help FC Energie do well in the league."
Petersen has been watched twice by Blackburn this season and has also attracted interest from unnamed Bundesliga clubs.
