Mainz 05 striker Aristide Bance has agreed to join Dubai-based club Al Ahli with immediate effect.
The 25-year-old, who arrived at Mainz two years ago, had been linked with a move to the Premier League with Blackburn this summer.
But Mainz have announced the Burkina Faso forward will link up with Al Ahli on a four-year deal after passing a medical at the club on Saturday.
"Aristide Bance had expressed his wish to change teams with growing intensity in the past weeks," said Mainz manager Christian Heidel.
"We regret this development but after careful thought we decided to meet his wish."
Bance, who helped Mainz earn promotion to the Bundesliga in 2009, made 30 appearances for the club last season, scoring 10 goals.
