Modeste M'bami has confirmed that he is in talks with a Turkish club, although he has yet to make a firm decision on his future.
The Marseille midfielder is regarded as a top player and had been tipped to secure a move to either England or Spain.
Blackburn have been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old who is out of contract this summer.
M'bami is keeping his options open but admits he has been approached by Bursaspor of the Turkish top flight.
He claims a deal could be close, commenting: "We are in talks and we are not far away.
"But nothing is done yet. I am a free agent so I will have to make the best decision for the rest of my career."
Reports suggest the financial offer on the table for the Cameroon international could be hard to turn down, with teams in England and Spain reluctant to offer the same salary as Bursaspor.
