Atletico midfielder has options should he leave Spanish capital

Luis Garcia's agent claims a number of European clubs have expressed an interest in his client. The Spain international is expected to be on his way out of Atletico Madrid this summer, with coach Abel Resino keen to utilise other options within his squad. That has led to mounting speculation regarding the midfielder's next port of call. A return to England, where he spent three successful years with Liverpool between 2004 and 2007, has been touted, while there are believed to be a number of Spanish-based sides tracking his availability. Garcia's representative insists the 30-year-old is in no hurry to find a new club, but admits he will be weighing up his options over the coming weeks. "The kid is calm at the moment because he still has another season to run on his contract at Atletico Madrid," Manuel Garcia Quilon told skysports.com. "If they decide that they no longer require his services, then some clubs have already asked about his situation - clubs in Spain and across Europe." On a potential return to the Premier League, where Blackburn and Fulham are said to be interested, Quilon added: "Luis really enjoyed his time at Liverpool and it is impossible to rule out the possibility he will move to England."
