Rovers to look at contract issues

Blackburn manager Paul Ince insists he is yet to finalise his plans for January. Ince has a number of decisions to make about his squad during the transfer window. He already has a number of trialists he is currently looking at, while decisions also have to be made about some of his current squad. Rovers need to decide whether to take up a permanent option on Chilean midfielder Carlos Villanueva, while the future of Dutch defender Andre Ooijer remains far from certain. "We want to keep improving the side. I'll sit down with the chairman and we'll talk about the situation with players coming and going," said Ince. "With Villanueva we know we have to make a decision by the end of December. "It's been hard for him. He is a young lad and needs time to settle in but because we haven't started the season so well it is hard to throw him into that situation. "It would have been nice to have been mid-table and be able to have a look at him. "As for Andre he has been fantastic and he is the type of person you need at the club. He has seen it all before and he is much needed. "I don't believe all the rubbish that is written. Unless he knocks on my door - which he hasn't done - I'm happy for him to be here."
