Khizanishvili admits he may leave Blackburn

Zurab Khizanishvili has admitted that he is not sure whether his future lies at Blackburn. The Georgian defender, who secured a permanent move to Ewood Park from Rangers in 2006, has yet to play in the Premier League this season. He is desperate to play regularly as he believes he is at the peak of his career at the age of 27. Khizanishvili concedes that it has been frustrating to be overlooked by manager Paul Ince and feels he may have to consider other options. "Everybody has to look around and find some good way to play football," he told This is Lancashire. "It is good to play at Blackburn Rovers and in the Premier League. "They gave me the chance to play every week, that was perfect, but I have to be looking to play every game now because I am nothing like 32, 33 and I need to play regularly. "It is a little bit of a hard time for me at the moment. "I played a lot when I came and that was fantastic, but this season I have not played in nine games so obviously I am not happy."

Business

Khizanishvili accepts that his future lies totally in Blackburn's hands and is hoping to hold talks with club bosses soon. He said: "I don't want to talk about my future but we will see what is going on. We have to speak with Blackburn Rovers first and then we can decide. "I have two and half years left on my contract. I love it here but business is business. So maybe one day in and one day out. "Football is football. Maybe you play one season at a club and the next season you play a second club. "I might stay here a lot longer though. It is not my choice, so I will have to wait to see what they say." According to local reports, West Ham are among a host of clubs said to be monitoring Khizanishvili's situation.
