Blackburn have allowed Frank Fielding and Rostyn Griffiths to leave Ewood Park on loan deals.

Rovers manager Paul Ince is keen for the duo to gain valuable first-team experience, but cannot guarantee them action at the Premier League outfit.

As such, Fielding has moved to Northampton and Griffiths has made the short trip to Accrington Stanley.

Fielding is seen as a replacement for Mark Bunn, who recently joined Rovers, at the League One Cobblers.

Stuart Gray is certainly hoping the 20-year-old can fill the void between the sticks at Sixfields.

"For a keeper so young he has a good deal of experience after a successful loan at Wycombe last season and he is coming here to add to our squad," said the Northampton boss.

"Frank will come in to work with and challenge Chris Dunn, who will benefit from working alongside Frank because he has an excellent grounding in the game."

Australian midfielder Griffiths enjoyed a spell on loan at Scottish side Gretna last season, but is yet to make a competitive appearance for Rovers.
