On-loan striker impresses Stanley manager

Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman wants to keep on-loan striker Jamie Clarke until the end of the season. Clarke is currently on loan at the League Two club from Blackburn Rovers and is due to stay until the turn of the year. Though he has yet to score in three appearances for Stanley, he has impressed Coleman with his performances, particularly in Saturday's 2-0 win at Port Vale. And Coleman admits he would welcome the opportunity to hang on to the teenager for the entire campaign. "We've got Jamie until December, but we would love to keep him longer than that," Coleman told the Lancashire Telegraph. "He seems to be making a habit of striking the woodwork and he certainly deserved a goal. He caused them a lot of trouble."
