Lens midfielder Julien Sable is tempted by the chance to move to the Premier League after being offered a trial by Blackburn Rovers.
Sable is looking to leave Lens following the club's relegation from Ligue 1 and his lack of playing time last season.
He has already trained with Chievo Verona this summer and admits he is keen to play abroad after previously spending a decade at St Etienne.
"My trial period at Verona went smoothly," Sable told France Football. "I played two matches with the first team and my physical tests were good.
Start from scratch
"The officials haven't told me anything yet, they should do it in the middle of the week.
"I have other trials, notably PAOK Salonika, but I am not attracted by that.
"Then, there is Blackburn. The club has insisted a lot. I will have a few days' trial with them and I must admit I am attracted by English football.
"I have a desire for a foreign adventure. There, you have no label, no one knows you. You start from scratch.
"In France, I can't lose the image of being the iconic captain of St Etienne, and few clubs trust me."
