Blackburn are waiting to find out if veteran midfielder Tugay has accepted the offer of a new contract.
The 37-year-old has been offered a fresh deal which is believed to be a pay-as-you-play deal with the option of a coaching role.
Rovers coach Mark Hughes is a huge fan of the Turk and wants him to remain and now the club are waiting on news.
"We've made Tugay an offer but we haven't heard back from him as yet," said chairman John Williams.
"Essentially, it's a playing role but there could also be an opportunity for him to move into coaching, with Mark and his staff keen to help him with that side of things."
