David Dunn believes manager Mark Hughes' monthly targets are steering Blackburn towards success.
Rovers have made an impressive start to their Premier League season, where they have lost only one of their opening nine fixtures, and Dunn believes there is a good reason for their fine form.
Blackburn travel to Tottenham on Sunday and Dunn has revealed Hughes, who has been strongly linked with the vacant manager's role at White Hart Lane, sets monthly achievement goals for his squad.
"The manager has stated his intentions by setting targets for the players every month," said Dunn.
"We are well on track, having made a great start to the campaign. We feel we can take points anywhere we go now the way we are playing."
Dunn is also pleased to be getting a regular run in the Rovers first-team after an injury-hit spell at Birmingham.
"It takes time to get your match fitness and I feel good at the moment," added Dunn.
"I am playing in a number of positions and I am happy about that as there is competition for places here.
"I am looking forward to the rest of the season as we are in a good position.
"We have not started well the last two years, so it is a nice change. If we can kick on after Christmas we will be right up there."
