Blackburn are set to hold talks with Morten Gamst Pedersen over a new deal at Ewood Park.
Pedersen enjoyed a successful season with Rovers last term helping them qualify for Europe.
Rovers are keen to reward him with a lucrative new contract to ward off potential suitors.
Pedersen's lawyer and representative Torgeir Knutsen admits talks are planned soon over the Norwegian's contract.
"Blackburn have said that we are going to sit down and have talks about a new contract for Morten," Knutsen told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
"Right now, I think there's a vacation (in England) but I suppose something will happen soon."
Knutsen also played down rumours of interest from Tottenham in Pedersen.
"Nothing is concrete. The only concrete thing is Blackburn have said they want to offer Morten a new contract this summer," concluded Knutsen.
