Blackburn defender Ryan Nelsen has been warned as to his future conduct following a Football Association disciplinary hearing on Thursday.

Nelsen was charged with improper conduct following comments he made in the aftermath of Rovers' defeat to Everton in December.

The FA deemed that the New Zealand international had breached rule E3 in criticising the officiating of referee Mark Halsey following the sending off of Andy Todd.

Meanwhile, Rovers look set to be without the free-scoring Norwegian Morten Gamst Pedersen for the next two to three weeks.

Pedersen was substituted immediately after scoring what proved to be the winner against Arsenal last Saturday.

It has since been confirmed that Pedersen suffered a hamstring injury but initial scans revealed the injury was only a strain and not a tear as first feared.

Pedersen will miss this weekend's clash against Tottenham and is also unlikely to feature in the forthcoming home matches against Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.
