Blackburn goalkeeper Brad Friedel could be heading for a return to America with his hometown club.
The 33-year-old has been one of Rovers' best players over the past few seasons, but he could be on his way out of Ewood Park.
The former Liverpool shot-stopper says that his home town of Cleveland could soon join the MLS, and that would make him want to return home.
"My hometown Cleveland could get a Major League Soccer team," said Friedel.
"If that happens, I could see myself playing over there."
The news is sure to worry Mark Hughes who has already seen how important the American keeper can be to his side.
