Blackburn defender Lorenzo Amoruso has admitted he is seeking a move away from Ewood Park.

Amoruso has struggled with injuries at Ewood Park since his switch from Rangers last summer.

The giant Italian is now back to full fitness, but he has been unable to win his place back in Mark Hughes' plans.

Amoruso is frustrated at his lack of first team opportunities and he has admitted he would love to follow Barry Ferguson in returning to Rangers if the opportunity arose.

"If Rangers need a centre-half, I would love to go," said Amoruso.

"I was hoping to move in January, because my situation is a bit complicated as I had an operation and then the manager has not been using me.

"The problem is I am getting old and I am not sure Alex McLeish would like me there."
