Lincoln City boss Keith Alexander has played down claims that talented defender Gareth McAuley is a target for Premiership clubs.
It was reported over the weekend that Blackburn and Birmingham have been watching the 24-year-old who joined Lincoln from Coleraine in the summer.
However, Alexander insists he has not fielded any interest in the Irishman.
"I've not had a phone call from anyone regarding Gareth," he told the club's official website.
"It's certainly news to me. Gareth has done very well since he came to us, and I'm sure anyone who has seen him will have been impressed.
"Players are always going to be linked with other clubs if they are playing well.
"I'd be worried if people weren't watching my players."
