The Terriers will be scouring around to find a replacement for Jon Stead, who made a dream switch to The Premiership with Blackburn Rovers.
The 20-year-old will bring in around £1 million to The McAlpine Stadium and Jackson will be out on the hunt for a new marksman.
"I will be out watching games all this week looking at possible signings to strengthen my already excellent young squad," Jackson told the club website.
"I'm not going to rush into bringing anyone in if they are not the right player or person for my squad.
"Jon Newby is keen to show us all what he is capable of and Nat Brown has been tremendous in recent games, while Andy Booth is on his way back and we all know his qualities."
