OLDHAM ATHLETIC have confirmed that there has been plenty of interest from a number of other clubs for defender Fitz Hall.

The 21-year-old centre-half joined The Latics in March from non-league Chesham United and has impressed with his performances for boss Iain Dowie's side.

The Boundary Park club have stated that numerous sides are keeping an eye on Hall and they include Premiership outfits Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough.

Reports have linked the young defender linked with both Rovers and Boro but other clubs have sent scouts to monitor Hall's progress.

However, the Division Two outfit stress that they have not received any 'direct or official approach' from any side for the defender's services.

Hall and his Oldham team-mates host high-flying Bristol City on Tuesday in a top of the table clash.
