Christian Eriksen hopes Tottenham’s dramatic 2-1 victory at Hull will inject some confidence into the north Londoners.

Jake Livermore fired Hull into an early lead, but Gaston Ramirez’s red card sparked a second-half fightback from Spurs and Harry Kane equalised before Eriksen snatched a late winner at the KC Stadium.

This result lifted Tottenham into 10th place in the Premier League and the Danish midfielder believes the players can put some inconsistent form behind them.

"That gave us a bit a confidence for our next games. In the second half we played very well," Eriksen told Sky Sports 1. "In the first half we started slow and they were quicker than we were.

"In the second half we played well, forward and attacking, and of course we played well against 10 men and it gave us more space."

Kane, who continued his fine goal scoring form, admitted the visitors had produced a sluggish performance in the first period.

"We didn't get at them quick enough and made it easy for them really," said the striker. "We came out in the second half and we changed that and obviously with them having a man sent off helped us."

The 21-year-old tapped in the rebound from Eriksen's free-kick, and said: "I knew he was going to hit the target so I put myself behind the wall hoping for any rebounds and fortunately it came right to me. It was a great free-kick."
