Benfica boss Jorge Jesus is looking forward to an important Europa League tie against Tottenham Hotspur, but has insisted that the Portuguese title is his main focus.
Having failed to progress to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, Benfica dropped into the Europa League in the previous round and swept past Greek club PAOK 4-0 on aggregate to reach the last 16.
They travel to White Hart Lane on Thursday for the first leg of their tie with Spurs and manager Jesus wants to make the most of any opportunity to fight for a trophy.
However, he has admitted that his No.1 target for the season is to come out on top in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, having narrowly missed out to fierce rivals Porto last year.
Asked about the clash with Tottenham, Jesus added: "It's an important game but the league is our great goal, I won't change the focus from that.
"The priority is to be champions again, and taking this idea into account, the league is our priority although other competitions are important too."
Benfica are currently top of the Portuguese standings, seven points clear of Sporting with eight matches remaining.
