Andre Villas-Boas believes his Tottenham side will face a tough opening date with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
The north London club travel south of the Thames to take on the Eagles who will play their first Premier League game since 2005.
And the Spurs manager accepts that this, in itself, can create additional 'emotive' problems for the opposition.
Villas-Boas said: "It will be a difficult game because of Selhurst Park.
"As a stadium, it's very hard to play in and, there will be lots of emotion and intensity.
"And it's always difficult to play against a team that has just come up.
"We have to be disciplined and hopefully with the quality we have, we hope that can make the difference and we hope can bring back the three points."
