Andre Villas-Boas insists Tottenham's Europa League exploits come second to their bid for a top four place.
The Londoners travel to Milan to face Inter on Thursday night - 3-0 to the good after the first leg of their last 16 clash - but Villas-Boas knows his side must redouble their efforts in the Premier League after a 3-2 defeat at Liverpool.
The Portuguese, whose side host Fulham on Sunday, said of the two competitions: "We can embrace both. The position we are in allows us to focus. The Premier League will always be the priority but the further we get in this competition, the more we dream that we can win a trophy.
"Liverpool was more a game we lost than Liverpool won. We have had an amazing run. But the way we played at Anfield still makes us believe we are on a good momentum and playing with confidence.
"Victory against Inter Milan will further help us when we play Fulham. Our Premier League season is going well."
Villas-Boas must do without the services of star man Gareth Bale, who picked up a yellow card against the Italians at White Hart Lane and misses out in the San Siro due to his resulting suspension.
Villas-Boas added: "We have to make sure we go through. It's an excellent position and it would be crazy for us to throw it all away. We will try to score an away goal and finish the tie and go through.
"We have to rotate, so in certain ways it is good for Gareth to get a rest."
