Sky Sports understands David Bentley will not be forced to cut short a loan spell at FC Rostov with an ankle injury.
Reports on Tuesday suggested that the winger, who has endured a wretched run of injury troubles in recent times, was set to be sent back to parent employers Tottenham Hotspur after picking up a knock.
An ankle complaint was serious enough to force him from the field on Saturday, but the problem is not as bad as first feared.
Bentley is expected to be in contention for Rostov's next fixture, allaying any long-term injury fears.
The 28-year-old is due to remain in Russia until January, having been deemed surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane.
He linked up with Rostov in September and is hoping to use a loan spell as an opportunity to put himself in the shop window ahead of the winter transfer window.
