Tottenham defender William Gallas has been impressed by his latest centre-back partner Steven Caulker.
Caulker lined up alongside Gallas in Spurs' 3-2 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday and the experienced France international was full of praise for the youngster's efforts.
"I'm sure he'll be one of the best in England if he works hard," said Gallas, quoted in the Daily Star.
"He did well against United and what I like is that he listens.
"He is focused. He is not afraid to play football or to go forward and that is fantastic for him."
Caulker spent last season on loan at Swansea but the 20-year-old has returned to White Hart Lane and forced his way ahead of club captain Michael Dawson in the pecking order.
He was called up by England boss Roy Hodgson for the August friendly against Italy but is still waiting for his senior debut after representing his country at Under 21 level as well as Team GB at the Olympics.
