Sky Sports understands Tottenham are tracking highly-rated Scunthorpe goalkeeper Sam Slocombe.
Slocombe has been one of Scunthorpe's shining lights this season, keeping nine clean sheets in 26 appearances for the Iron.
The 23-year-old is highly-regarded at Glanford Park and he was recently rewarded for his progress with a new deal.
Slocombe's performances have not gone unnoticed with a number of clubs thought to be keeping tabs on the custodian.
Spurs goalkeeping coach Tony Parkes is understood to have watched him in action over the last couple of weeks and is expected to make a further check on his progress before the end of the season.
Spurs could be in the market for goalkeeping reinforcements this summer as doubts surround the long-term futures of Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes.
Harry Redknapp is thought to be keen to bring in a young keeper to be an understudy to Brad Friedel and should Slocombe continue to impress he could fit the bill.
