Harry to take care with Lennon

Harry Redknapp will take no risks with Aaron Lennon's fitness as Spurs prepare for two games in the space of three days over Easter.

Winger will be eased back into action gently after lay-off

Harry Redknapp has admitted it will be a juggling act over the Easter weekend as Tottenham prepare for two games in the space of three days, and he will take no risks with Aaron Lennon's fitness. Lennon impressed during a 20-minute cameo on Sunday as he came off the substitutes' bench to help Spurs beat Swansea 3-1 at White Hart Lane and return to winning ways. It was the winger's first game back since recovering from a hamstring problem and Redknapp was pleased to see him return as it provided balance to the team. However, Lennon has been troubled by niggling hamstring injuries already this season and the Tottenham manager does not want to see him sidelined again. Redknapp has therefore insisted there is no chance of the 24-year-old starting both Saturday's away game against Sunderland and the home clash with Norwich 48 hours later. "We played 4-3-3 all the way through. We stuck him wide and played [Gareth] Bale wide and Adebayor up front and three in midfield still," Redknapp said in the London Evening Standard. "We never changed the system. But suddenly he gave us that little bit more width." Redknapp added: "Next week is going to be a juggling act playing Saturday and Monday. It is going to be survival of the fittest, trying to get two teams ready. "We have got a long slap up to Sunderland for a tough game and then we have to come back and play Norwich at home. You are going to have to change the team around.

"I think Aaron will be ready for 90 minutes but you won't get two games out of him next weekend. No chance. "He'll play one game - whichever one I choose to play him in. He keeps getting little hamstring problems and I think he and the medical people would be a bit wary of playing two games in quick time." Lennon made an important contribution to the victory over Swansea as he delivered the cross that was headed home by Emmanuel Adebayor to complete the scoring. And defender Younes Kaboul hopes his team-mate can stay fit for the remainder of the season to help Spurs clinch a top-four finish in the Premier League. "I'm very happy personally for him that he is back and in good form," said Kaboul. "He proved again that he is a class player with a beautiful assist to Adebayor. I hope that he is not going to have any more injuries."
