Harry Redknapp reckons Tottenham need to get a positive result against Stoke to get their season back on track. Spurs have been a revelation for much of this season with their rich, attacking football which saw them tipped as an outside bet for the Premier League title. However, they have lost their last three league games on the bounce and are now just one point ahead of arch-rivals Arsenal in fourth place. Despite their untimely loss of form, Redknapp - the prime candidate for the England job - is bullish about his team recapturing their early season excellence.

Badly

"We have had a run of not good results, but they have not been bad performances," he said. "We are not playing badly, but we need it - a result - and want to be in form tomorrow. "If we don't win, then things are really getting a bit tight. It has closed up and you have to make sure we try to pick up three points." The game will see Redknapp come up against Peter Crouch - a player he has managed at Southampton, Portsmouth and Tottenham.
Impact
Crouch was sold to the Potters for £10million last summer but is still rated highly by his former boss. "Crouchy has made an impact wherever he has been," he added. "He did a great job for us here, and also for me when we were at Portsmouth. I was sorry to lose him and it was not a case of wanting to get rid of Peter. "We were taking Emmanuel Adebayor and I could not keep everybody. Peter moved on, but you would have him any day, he is a top player and a great lad as well."
